1 | Start with sizes
It goes without saying that most men make the mistake of buying the wrong size – don’t let that be you! Don’t get muddled up with top and bottom halves, don’t guess just take a look in her underwear drawer and check the sizes – simple!
Make sure you check the sizes of her knickers and also the chest and cup size of her bras. Make sure you don’t get caught as imagine the embarrassment of trying to explain what you are doing!
2 | Find out what styles she likes
Check what she has already. Women’s underwear is much more complicated than men’s because they have to go under different type of clothing and create different looks. A bra is extra complicated as there are different types for different figures etc.
An extra tip is to note down the size for each brand she has as the size can vary from brand to brand so at least you will know if you are buying her a particular brand and she already has it, you will be ordering the right size.

4 | Colour is key
Check out your partner’s wardrobe. What colours does she wear? Usually outerwear translates to the colour of underwear your partner will wear. Black is usually a safe option.
5 | Go for sets!
